Are there still training places available?
We continually publish our open positions on our careers page. The apprenticeships and study places are also included here.
Can I study dual with Lessmann?
We offer dual study places.
Whether technically as a mechanical engineering student or commercially as a business administration student – Lessmann provides practical insight during your studies at the DHBW Heidenheim.
Or a mixture of both: We also offer study places in the fields of industrial engineering or business informatics.
What accessories for brushes does Lessmann offer?
We offer not only brushes of all kinds, but also the corresponding accessories: Drive arbors, metal discs, DIY suspensions, adapter, thread adapters, wire handles and handles complement our range.
Straight, crimped or knotted? What's the difference?
Metal wires can be made into brushes in a straight, crimped or knotted form. A wire knot is always made from straight wires and is harder than a single wire with the same wire diameter. Crimped wires support each other and thus increase stability when brushing.
Straight wires in end products are used, for example, in hand brushes or interior brushes. For wheel brushes, cup and bevel brushes and shaft brushes, crimped or knotted wire variants are usually used.

What does Lessmann mean by sustainability?
We understand ecological responsibility to mean operational environmental protection and a contribution to climate protection. The aim was therefore to have the company certified according to ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management) in order to clearly define and pursue reduction targets for emissions and raw material consumption, among other things. Lessmann has been certified according to this standard since May 2022 and thus records consumption in order to make future reduction targets measurable. We have also recently become part of the “Environment + Climate Pact Bavaria”. By participating, we are committed to taking environmental protection measures that go far beyond the legal requirements. We have been using several photovoltaic systems to generate electricity on all roof areas of our company since 2003. Through constant expansion, we now achieve a total output of 588 kWp. With an annual consumption of around 1,200 kWh, we generate almost 50% of our electricity ourselves. We are even better when it comes to heating: it is fueled 100% by leftovers from the production of our wooden handles.
