Lessmann has been producing high-quality surface-finishing tools in Oettingen, Bavaria, since 1948. Our products are “Made in Germany” through-and-through and are all sold under the LESSMANN brand. They are manufactured using state-of-the-art equipment, with strict quality controls and continuous testing.

What does Lessmann mean by sustainability?
We understand ecological responsibility to mean operational environmental protection and a contribution to climate protection. The aim was therefore to have the company certified according to ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management) in order to clearly define and pursue reduction targets for emissions and raw material consumption, among other things. Lessmann has been certified according to this standard since May 2022 and thus records consumption in order to make future reduction targets measurable. We have also recently become part of the “Environment + Climate Pact Bavaria”. By participating, we are committed to taking environmental protection measures that go far beyond the legal requirements. We have been using several photovoltaic systems to generate electricity on all roof areas of our company since 2003. Through constant expansion, we now achieve a total output of 588 kWp. With an annual consumption of around 1,200 kWh, we generate almost 50% of our electricity ourselves. We are even better when it comes to heating: it is fueled 100% by leftovers from the production of our wooden handles.

Die effiziente und qualitätsorientierte Herstellung unserer Bürsten erfordert den Einsatz neuester Maschinen und Fertigungsanlagen, die höchsten Produktanforderungen gerecht werden. Wir haben unseren eigenen Maschinenbau und investieren in beste Maschinentechnologie der jüngsten Generation. Dazu sind wir stolz auf unsere eigene Forschungs- und Entwicklungs-, sowie Konstruktionsabteilung im Haus, die eine gleichbleibend hohe Qualität der Bürsten gewährleisten und stetig verbessern.
Leistungsfähige Vollautomaten in der Fertigung zählen ebenso zu unserem modernen technischen Equipment wie ein anspruchsvolles Prüfzentrum für Qualitäts und Sicherheitstests. Einzigartig ist unsere Fertigungstiefe: Wir verfügen über eine eigene Drahtwellung und Drahtschneiderei. Blechteile werden auf selbst konstruierten Werkzeugen bei uns hergestellt, ebenso die Holzkörper unserer Bürsten. Unser Lager mit über 12 000 Stellplätzen sowie optimale logistische Lösungen ermöglichen einen schnellen Produktionsfluss und kurze Lieferzeiten.

Seit dem Jahr 2022 sind wir nach ISO 14 001 im Bereich Umweltmanagement zertifiziert. Damit verpflichten wir uns als Unternehmen, Emissionen oder Rohstoffverbräuche klar zu definieren, zu verfolgen und zu reduzieren.

We focus on products of the highest quality and strive for excellence in service and advice to make your work as easy as possible.
The efficient and quality-oriented manufacture of our brushes requires use of the latest machinery and production facilities, which are capable of meeting the highest product requirements. We have our own mechanical engineering department and invest in the latest generation of the best machine technology. We are also proud of our in-house research and development and design departments, which guarantee and continuously improve on the consistently high quality of our brushes.
Our modern technical facilities include powerful fully automated production machines and a sophisticated test centre for quality and safety testing. Our vertical integration is unique: We have our own wire crimping and wire cutting facilities. We use tools designed by us to manufacture sheet metal parts and the wooden bodies of our brushes. With over 12,000 storage spaces and optimal logistics solutions, our warehouse supports rapid production flows and short delivery times.

Ecology
