What are strip brushes?
Strip brushes are versatile. With their dense, seamless bristles, they are effective and long-lasting energy savers. They are used to seal doors and gates and thus protect against drafts, cold, moisture, leaves and dirt. They also protect moving parts (installed in machines and systems) from dust and other unwanted particles. Strip brushes are also suitable for transporting, guiding and braking sensitive objects. Strip brushes from Lessmann are available in different shapes and with different holders and brush filling material.
Why are some brushes marked green?
Brushes made of stainless wire can be easily recognized by the green metal parts such as the side windows or the pot. We use wire with material number 1.4310. These brushes are suitable for brushing on stainless steel. Further information on brushing on stainless materials can be found here.
What are deburring brushes and what types are there?
Deburring brushes are special brushes in wheel, roller or end brush shape.
They are used in deburring machines or automatic machines to deburr special workpieces. Find out more about the application deburring here.
What are brushes for grass trimmers?
Knotted wheel brushes and bevel brushes, as well as bevel brushes with PBT brush filling material, are mounted on grass trimmers and are ideal for removing weeds and wild weeds from lawn pavers, curbs, paved areas or other hard-to-reach places. The special brushes clean larger areas such as courtyard entrances, terraces or long paths effortlessly and sustainably. These are used primarily in facility management and the agricultural sector but also in the private sector. Removing weeds with brushes is also environmentally friendly and harmful and plants are removed effectively and quickly.
You can find further applications on the subject of cleaning here.
Straight, crimped or knotted? What\'s the difference?
Metal wires can be made into brushes in a straight, crimped or knotted form. A wire knot is always made from straight wires and is harder than a single wire with the same wire diameter. Crimped wires support each other and thus increase stability when brushing.
Straight wires in end products are used, for example, in hand brushes or interior brushes. For wheel brushes, cup and bevel brushes and shaft brushes, crimped or knotted wire variants are usually used.
