35 years ago, the brothers Jürgen and Dieter Lessmann took over the medium-sized family business in Oettingen from their father as managing directors. The brush manufacturer has been on the road to success for well over 35 years and supplies customers worldwide with premium tools, all of which are developed and produced in Oettingen. The company, founded in 1948, has developed over the past decades into a highly technical and innovative family business with over 250 employees.
In order to initiate the management succession plan, the brothers decided to expand the management team. On January 1st of this year, Dieter Lessmann gave up part of his area of responsibility and Cornelia Kitzsteiner took over management of sales and marketing. Jürgen Lessmann continues to be responsible for technical management, while Dieter Lessmann remains responsible for finance, human resources and IT. In addition, Ms. Anne Galinski supports the top management level as an authorized representative (appointed in 2004).
Ms. Kitzsteiner has been working for the Lessmann company for over 30 years. She started at Lessmann as an employee in export sales, after a short time became team leader of this department and in 2004 she took over the company’s overall sales management. In 2021 she was appointed to an authorized representative.
“We are pleased that we have found the ideal person in Cornelia Kitzsteiner to expand the management team. She knows our company and the industry exceptionally well. With this decision, we give our employees, our customers and business partners stability and continuity. We are sure that Ms. Kitzsteiner will act in our interests and at the same time bring in her own ideas and impulses for change, in order to continue to have positive company development in the future,” says Dieter Lessmann. Ms. Kitzsteiner is pleased about the trust that comes with it and the challenges ahead. She emphasized that good cooperation and support of each individual employee was very important to her.
