A very common task for strip brushes is sealing gates and doors against finest dirt particles, dust, or drafts. The brushes are also ideal for applications such as slowing down, guiding, cleaning, or transporting. Suitable filling material for every application
Lessmann strip brushes are characterized by their ability to be optimally adapted to individual customer requirements.
The brushes are available in a wide variety of designs and dimensions. Typical bristles include natural hair such as horsehair and various wires (steel, stainless, and brass). In addition to horsehair, plastic bristles such as PA or PBT are often used for delicate surfaces.
Depending on the bristles, the brushes are used for a wide variety of surfaces, including aluminum, stainless steel, wood, plastic, copper, and many other materials.
The length of the bristle can range from a few millimeters up to 400 mm. The brushing result depends on the bristle arrangement and texture: A thin bristle in the brush produces a dense, soft brush, while a thick bristle makes the brush lighter, more permeable, and at the same time more durable. If a short bristle is used, the brush is dense and hard; the longer the bristle, the softer and more pliable the brush becomes. Due to its flexibility, the bristle can easily adapt to uneven floors and surfaces if the correct length is used. The bristle can be cut at a defined angle, thus allowing for even more flexible applications.
Maximum flexibility thanks to unlimited product variety
The size of the brush and the length of the bristle material are individually tailored to the customer’s requirements. A maximum brush length of three meters is possible. However, the design of the brushes makes it easy to string multiple brush modules together without gaps.
Lessmann strip brushes are available in straight designs, as well as with defined angles, or in spiral, ring, or cup shapes. This makes it possible to reach and precisely seal surfaces that would otherwise be difficult to machine. The diameters and dimensions of these ring, cup, and spiral strip brushes can be individually tailored to the specific application.
Easy mounting of the brush
To install and secure Lessmann strip brushes, there are mounting profiles and holders in numerous designs and different materials. Predefined holes or cutouts can be added to the holder, ensuring optimal brush installation. In appropriate environments, Lessmann strip brushes can also be used in an electrically conductive manner or at higher temperatures.
